Professional Biography:

Ron Freeman, Ed.D., has maintained a private counseling practice in Fayetteville for the past 22 years. Educational background includes theological training and the Doctor of Education in Counselor Education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in 1982.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Freeman contracts as the Clinical Director at Youth Bridge, Inc. He is licensed as a Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist, and has the specialty in Supervision with the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling. Supervision is provided in an individual and group basis. His private practice includes individual, marital, and family concerns. He has provided counseling and behavioral management strategies for developmentally disabled adults for approximately 10 years. Theoretical perspectives include self-psychology, object-relations, and other psycho-dynamic concepts. Cognitive behavioral strategies are used extensively for skills trainings such as anger management, anxiety reduction, and relationship enhancement. Forgiveness work is an area of special interest and includes individual, group, and workshop settings.
